Many homeowners are realizing the detrimental effects that an increase in rental housing has on their neighborhoods and property values. As a result, homeowners associations are increasingly considering amendments to their restrictive covenants that curtail or even prohibit rental housing being further established in their neighborhood. Restrictive covenants can be amended in such a way as to prohibit future “non-owner-occupied “residences while grandfathering current rentals.
This item will be up for Board action at the June 24 meeting and would welcome everyone to give their input on the topic.
